A High School Built Around What Comes Next
Vivos Academy is a special education high school in Richmond, Virginia, serving students age 14-22 with autism and neurodivergent needs. Our program brings together individualized learning academics, real-world life skills, and vocational learning to help students build greater independence and prepare for adulthood.
By focusing on high school and transition years, every part of the Vivos Academy experience is designed around the needs of adolescents and young adults.

Real-World Skills
We focus on a multi-year path towards independent living. Students build essential skills in cooking, cleaning, money management, transportation, community navigation, and responsible pet care. We achieve this through hands-on practice in a mock studio apartment and real-world settings so your child can enter adulthood with confidence and the practical tools needed to succeed.

Vocational Services
Career exploration and workplace preparation starts here. Our hands-on vocational services provide opportunities for students to earn credentials, practice job skills in real workplaces, and explore career paths in food service, retail, maintenance, and animal care. Each student will gain the confidence needed for life after graduation.

We are licensed by the Virginia Department of Education and working on becoming accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities (VAISEF) Our students work toward the Applied Studies Diploma or Certificate of Completion, following individualized pathways aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs) and Virginia’s Alternate Assessment Program (VAAP)
