Frequently Asked Questions

Is Vivos Academy licensed and accredited?
Why choose Vivos Academy?

Vivos Academy is designed exclusively for high school students who benefit from specialized academic, behavioral, and transition support. Our program focuses on building independence, vocational readiness, and real-world life skills while continuing to provide individualized academic instruction. Students learn not only how to succeed in school, but how to confidently navigate adulthood, employment, and community life.

Does Vivos Academy implement restraints and seclusion?

Our staff are trained in compassionate ABA, trauma-assumed care, and Safety-Care crisis intervention to support students in safe and respectful ways. Vivos Academy is a hands-off program that prioritizes prevention, regulation, and dignity. We place strong emphasis on antecedent strategies, relationship-based support, and de-escalation techniques, allowing us to significantly reduce and avoid restrictive practices whenever possible.

Students with mild to moderate challenging or complex behaviors are typically the best fit for our program. Our model is designed for learners who benefit from proactive, structured support focused on skill-building and independence rather than intensive physical intervention.

What ages are served at Vivos Academy?

We serve high school students, typically ages 14–22, depending on individual education plans (IEPs) and placement needs.

Do you only serve students with autism?

No. While many of our students are on the autism spectrum, we serve a range of neurodiverse learners who benefit from a highly structured, supportive environment. We are licensed to work with the following disability categories: Autism, Developmental Delay, Emotional Disability, Intellectual Disability, Multiple Disability, Other Health Impairment, Specific Learning Disability, Speech or Language Impairment, and Traumatic Brain Injury.

Do you accept standard diploma track students?

Yes, for these students, we use programs such as Edgenuity to support credit-bearing coursework, while continuing to provide the same focus on vocational readiness, functional academics, and daily living skills to prepare them for adulthood and independence.

Do you accept insurance for student tuition?

Tuition is most often funded by local school districts through private day placements. At this time, Vivos Academy does not accept direct insurance payments. Families may contact us to discuss placement options and funding pathways.

How do I enroll my child at Vivos Academy?

Enrollment typically begins with a referral from your local school district. Families may also contact us directly to discuss their child’s needs, and we will guide you through the process in collaboration with your district.
