Real-World Skills
We focus on a multi-year path towards independent living. Students build essential skills in cooking, cleaning, money management, transportation, community navigation, and responsible pet care. We achieve this through hands-on practice in a mock studio apartment and real-world settings so your child can enter adulthood with confidence and the practical tools needed to succeed.

Vocational Services
Career exploration and workplace preparation starts here. Our hands-on vocational services provide opportunities for students to earn credentials, practice job skills in real workplaces, and explore career paths in food service, retail, maintenance, and animal care. Each student will gain the confidence needed for life after graduation.

Academic Programs Tailored to Virginia Standards
We are licensed by the Virginia Department of Education and working on becoming accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities (VAISEF) Our students work toward the Applied Studies Diploma or Certificate of Completion, following individualized pathways aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs) and Virginia’s Alternate Assessment Program (VAAP)
We align instruction with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOLs) and Virginia’s Alternate Assessment Program (VAAP) while incorporating functional academics, vocational training, and independent living skills.
Applied Studies Diplomas & Certificates of Completion
Students at Vivos Academy do not work toward a standard diploma. Instead, they earn an Applied Studies Diploma or a Certificate of Completion, based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). These credentials celebrate each student’s strengths and help prepare them for work, community life, and greater independence.
Our goal is to provide a compassionate, high-quality education that empowers students to learn, grow, and thrive, both in the classroom and beyond.
